A survey of 95,513 students in a representative sample of 20 major U.S. universities found that a third of them use chatbots to produce text, video or code for assignments, and 9 percent admit using them to cheat.
Most enterprises already have access to AI models, so that is no longer the differentiator. The real challenge begins after the demo ends. Organizations are now trying to determine how AI agents interact with ERP systems, supply chains, approvals, security policies, customer records, and operational environments that were never designed for autonomous systems. The reality is that ERP remains the system of record for many business decisions. If AI agents cannot operate within ERP governance, approval, and transaction frameworks, they remain assistants rather than operational participants.

State sues maker of ChatGPT and CEO Sam Altman, alleging company ‘allowed a dangerous product to reach millions’
Florida filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, and its CEO, Sam Altman, on Monday alleging that the company concealed serious safety risks with its chatbot. Florida is the first state in the US to sue the artificial intelligence company.
The 83-page suit was brought by Florida’s attorney general, James Uthmeier, and alleges that OpenAI “aggressively marketed” ChatGPT to the public while ignoring safety warnings and possible dangers of the product.
