The post Meta opens Muse Spark 1.1 to US developers at launch as a coding API appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
Meta released Muse Spark 1.1 on Thursday and made it open to US developers through a new Meta Model API, creating direct competition with OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic. The model is available immediately in Thinking mode inside the Meta AI app and on the Meta AI website. Developers who want to plug it into their own coding software can now do so through the Meta Model API, which launched the same day in public preview for US accounts. Meta is handing out $20 in free credits to every new account on the API. What has changed since April? Public markets rarely get a direct window into a company’s crypto conviction. Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS) just pried that window open. The firm’s July 8 snapshot shows total holdings of roughly $397 million, a figure built from an unusual mix of AI equity stakes and liquid crypto assets. The treasury includes an indirect $90 million position in OpenAI, $18 million in Beast Industries, 16,278 ETH, and 283 million WLD tokens—valued at $149 million at the time of disclosure. For a Nasdaq-listed entity, the composition reads less like a traditional balance-sheet hedge and more like a concentrated bet on AI infrastructure and on-chain identity. The Ethereum stack alone is large enough to place Eightco among the more exposed public-company ETH holders, even if it still trails dedicated crypto treasury companies by a wide margin. Meanwhile, the Worldcoin (WLD) posit
Staggered release of ChatGPT 5.6 follows similar restrictions on rival firm Anthropic’s latest AI models
OpenAI released its latest advanced AI model, called ChatGPT 5.6, on Thursday after earlier delaying the public rollout over US government concerns about cybersecurity. The Trump administration had requested last month that OpenAI limit the release to a small group of government-approved users.
OpenAI complied with the White House’s request last month. The company stated in a blogpost that it had briefed government officials on ChatGPT 5.6’s capabilities and restricted the model to trusted partners at their behest. The product’s wider release came after additional testing by the government’s Center for AI Standards and Innovation agency, according to Axios.
